Hope ~ Renewal ~ Recovery
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
-- Colossians 2:8 (NIV)
In a world where good and evil battle for dominance every day - how do you keep your life on the "good" side? We know that maintaining integrity in a world of questionable character is hard. But God has made a way. You can explore the spiritual realities behind the battle of good and evil - you'll better understand how to avoid evil’s destruction and make the most of the good life God offers.
Utilizing Biblical Counseling, our mission is to restore hope and renew minds. Since 2003, In Your Light has restored hope to people struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, self harm, eating disorders, grief, porn addiction, etc. We have also offered rescue and/or Biblical counseling to those in the sex industry and others victimized by emotional, physical, and sexual abuse including domestic violence and human trafficking.
"They may come to us with a victim's mentality, but we counsel survivors so they can become thrivers."
-- Pastor George
Nationwide, we assist individuals and families to find Christian mental health resources and other providers.
Modern Day Slavery Awareness & Prevention
Human trafficking, commonly referred to as modern day slavery is a global phenomenon that involves obtaining the labor or sexual services of another through the use of force, fraud, or coercion in violation of an individual’s human rights. Generating billions of dollars in profit each year, human trafficking is one of the world’s fastest growing criminal activities. Fueled by global economic conditions and the power and anonymity of the internet - along with global demand - the market for and trade of human beings continues to expand rapidly. Human trafficking can and does happen world wide, including the United States.
We are using a number of methods to make people aware of these issues. This includes contact with our elected officials.
In this day and age, it’s hard to understand how there can be so much prejudice and misunderstanding regarding the disAbled. The barriers of inaccessibility are equally frustrating. (See: About Pastor George)
